Louise Studstrup Muurholm is director in Accura's Banking & Finance Team.
Louise is very commercially focused and is known, in particular, as a strong financial regulatory capacity. She has participated in regulatory work for the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority, including in connection with the implementation of the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD) into the Danish Act on Managers of Alternative Investment Funds, etc. In addition, she has headed complex regulatory implementation projects for financial institutions.
Louise gained valuable insight into and know-how within banking, asset management and fund management while she was working as a chief legal advisor with Danske Bank. She was responsible for the legal function for a fund management company in Luxembourg and was involved in setting up investment funds in Luxembourg.
Louise advises both Danish and foreign financial institutions, including banks, pension companies, fund management companies, investment managers, investment advisors and depositaries with the interpretation and implementation of financial regulation, including the drafting and negotiation of legal documentation and agreements.
Besides her vast experience in advising fund management companies on regulatory matters and day-to-day management, including the AIFM and the UCITS rules, Louise has experience with the strategic restructuring of management companies and funds. Finally, she has 10 years’ experience within company law.
Louise joined Accura in 2017 after having worked as chief legal advisor with Danske Bank. Before that, she worked as a special advisor with the Danish Financial Supervisory Board and also has 8 years' experience as a special advisor with the Danish Commerce and Companies Agency (now the Danish Business Authority).
Louise graduated in law from the University of Copenhagen in 2002.
