Verdane acquires Danelec Marine

The private equity fund Verdane has acquired the majority stake in the Danish business Danelec Marine headquartered in Birkerød.

Danelec Marine is the global leader in design, development and manufacture of maritime hardware and software for data collection and transfer. Danelec Marine's products enable customers to improve safety at sea and to achieve an efficient fleet management.

Danelec Marine is e.g. a leader in the manufacture and servicing of black boxes for vessels, the so-called VDRs. They also manufacture electronic chart displays and ship-to-shore Internet of Things (IOT) solutions. Danelec Marine is an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) supplier to several major industry players, and Danelec Marine systems are currently installed on over 6,000 vessels worldwide.

With Verdane's great expertise in tech-enabled growth businesses and detailed maritime knowledge, Danelec Marine is looking forward to accelerating its organic and acquisition growth.

Currently, Danelec Marine has offices in Denmark, China and Singapore and also has a network of service partners in more than 50 countries.
