Søren Toft Bjerreskov is an associate partner in Accura's Corporate & Commercial Team.
His main practice areas are corporate law, contract law and capital market law. Søren assists companies in the energy sector, institutional investors, private equity funds and venture funds as well as large and medium-sized industrial businesses. Søren specialises in complex corporate law matters, including financial assistance, the anti-money laundering procedure relating to financial assistance, cross-border mergers, demergers, shareholder loans, corporate governance and management liability.
Søren's work also comprises a large number of contract law matters, in particular relating to shareholders' agreements, investment agreements and infrastructure agreements. Søren has also assisted listed companies with capital market law matters, including planning and execution of general meetings in listed companies, disclosure obligations and internal rules for issuers. In addition, Søren has been responsible for the drafting and exchange of pleadings in several court cases involving complex contract law issues.
Søren joined Accura in 2018 after having worked as a senior attorney in Plesner's corporate law team. Before that, he worked at the Danish Embassy in Vienna and he was also posted to IKANO Bank in Moscow and to A/S Dansk Shell.
Søren studied at the University of British Columbia and obtained an LLM from the University of Chicago Law School.
Søren graduated in law from the University of Copenhagen in 2005 and was admitted to the Danish bar in 2008.
Søren is the author of the chapter on "Shareholders' agreements and articles of association" in the Danish newspaper Børsen's management handbook as well as a contributor to The Corporate Governance Review and several articles in Børsen.
